My free time seems to be rapidly dwindling these days. Now that I sort of know where I'm heading art and businesswise (at least for the next few months), I'm seriously considering applying some lifestyle changes. No, this does not mean I'm giving up being weird, no worries. I've been reading this interesting book by Karen Kingston on space clearing, and while I'm not quite a Feng Shui practitioner, I believe in the benefits of space clearing. More and more, I feel like I need to get rid of possessions I do not use or care for. How many of us clutter our lives (and dwellings) with tons of things that we don't really need? I feel like my clutter is holding me back and that it may be responsible for my occasional bouts of procrastination. Thus, clutter must go. Easy enough to say, harder to do when you're so used to holding on to nearly everything. It's going to take a while, but it's another goal I'm setting for myself this year.

In other news...I'll be showing and selling my artwork with two other artists at the Goddess Store in Hollywood, Florida next saturday, starting at 7 pm. Yes, tis another art walk! If any of you reading my LJ are in the area, please come visit. :)

"Emerald"

So I just started on a series of ACEO cards. I named it the "Heart Suite", which is either a very apt or silly frilly name, though I'm happy with how it's turning out so far. This is the second little watercolor I've finished, and its title is "Violet".

And last but not least...woooo....It looks I'm going to be participating in another art show in Florida. Right before leaving for LA. I'm a little excited about this one too--it'll be the first time I show and (hopefully) sell my stuff in an arts & crafts type festival. It'll be held in a lovely Fort Lauderdale park, exactly a month from now. O_O

...time to work even harder, methinks.
